In recent years, water-soluble fertilizer is one of the most popular fertilizer applications for greenhouse vegetable growers. However, many farmers use water-soluble fertilizer in the wrong way. They spend money to buy fertilizer, but waste it.
First of all, do not directly apply fertilizer, but adopt the method of “secondary dilution”. If the water-soluble fertilizer is directly applied, it is likely to cause uneven fertilization. The vegetables with more water-soluble fertilizer had damaged roots and yellow leaves, while the vegetables with less water-soluble fertilizer were affected. The nutrient content of water-soluble fertilizer is higher than that of general compound fertilizer, and the dosage is less. Generally, 8-10kg per mu can be used. It is suggested to make a flushing bucket in advance, and set a switch at the bottom of the bucket. Before flushing, melt the water-soluble fertilizer in the flushing bucket, calculate the fertilizer application amount, turn on the switch, and let the fertilizer solution flush along the water. In addition, farmers can directly use electric sprayer as a container for dilute fertilizer solution to fertigate. The purpose of the second dilution is to ensure the uniformity and improve the fertilizer utilization.
Secondly, when spraying water-soluble fertilizer, try to use it alone or mix it with non basic pesticides. When vegetable crops suffer from deficiency of nutrients or poor growth of root system, many people will choose water-soluble fertilizer to spray to alleviate it. Mixed use is likely to make metal ions react to produce precipitation, resulting in fertilizer damage or drug damage to leaves.
